Jonathan Majors was overcome with emotion while speaking about his fiancée, Harlem star Meagan Good, during their engagement announcement at the EBONY Power 100 Gala on November 17.
The couple shared the happy news exclusively with EBONY, and Majors expressed his admiration for Good, calling her “the most perfect, beautiful, divine, and powerful being” he has ever known. He also expressed gratitude for her support, saying, “The fact that she said I’m gonna run with you, I’m with it. I feel great.”
The engagement marks a milestone for the couple, who first met at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in 2022. They became romantically linked in May 2023, with their relationship growing stronger amid Majors’ legal issues from a previous relationship.
They went public with their romance in September 2023 when Majors referred to Good as “the missus” during a speech at the Congressional Black Caucus’ annual Black and White Gala. The couple made their red carpet debut together at the AAFCA Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in early 2024.
Majors shared that the EBONY Power 100 Gala feels like “home” to him, noting the event’s significance in celebrating Black culture, art, and impact. Initially launched in 1971 as EBONY magazine’s “Most Influential Black Americans List,” the event now honors leaders across various fields, including business, entertainment, community activism, and STEM.
